OEKO-TEX® is an independent international association of 18 accredited institutes in 85 countries around the world. Their goal is to protect the planet, ensure high quality and sustainable products entering the global market. The STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certificate is the most widely used mark in the world, which guarantees that any textile with this mark has been carefully tested and does not contain more than 300 harmful substances. The certification is based on scientifically based OEKO-TEX® criteria and neutral laboratory tests, taking into account a huge range of both regulated and unregulated substances that can harm health and the environment. The criteria catalog is updated at least once a year and supplemented with new scientific knowledge or legal requirements. In many cases, the harmfulness limits set by this certificate are stricter than national and international requirements. According to the modular system, each component is tested, starting from the fiber, yarn and ending with the products themselves, until the final product is awarded the “STANDARD 100” mark. If a textile product is marked with this label, you can be sure that all stages of production have been passed.
